Madura Garments and Esprit celebrate successful partnership in Indi

Mr. Heinz Krogner, Chairman and Group CEO, Esprit, visits India to celebrate the success of the partnership with Madura Garments

Madura Garments, a unit of Aditya Birla Nuvo and Esprit, the leading international lifestyle brand today celebrated their successful association in India. Madura Garments and Esprit entered into a partnership in 2005 to target the growing premium retail market in India and have successfully strengthened their brand portfolio in key segments - women segment, premium relaxed clothes segment and accessories.

Esprit has expanded its presence with 10 stores in the country covering Mumbai, Delhi, Chandigarh, Bangalore and Pune. Over the next two years the company plans to roll out many more stores across the country thereby expanding its retail base manifold.

Expansion plans
As part of their expansion plans, Esprit will be launching two new divisions, the Kids World Collection and the EDC throughout the country. The EDC will be launched as a new and younger lifestyle brand under Esprit with exclusive stores in various cities.

Kids wear: This is a fast growing product line within the Esprit lifestyle range. The clothes cater to age groups between 2 to 8 years, for both girls and boys in the apparel segment. The look is colourful, sweet, cheerful and very international.

EDC: This is a trendy and youth oriented line within Esprit's five worlds, which caters to the age group between 14 and 22 years. This will now be launched as a brand on its own with a wider range of products and more styles. It is an extremely youthful and fashionable brand, which has a sporty, trendy and fresh look. A kind of trendsetter, it's young and fun product line includes trousers, jeans, sweaters, jackets, coats, tees, tops, dresses, skirts, blouses, blazers, shoes and accessories.
